Kransberg offers good quality multi-pitch climbing at moderate grades. With routes of between 3 and 6 pitches long and grades from 11 to 22 it is a great place to hone your multi-pitch skills. The exposure is excellent and the birdlife unrivalled. The cliffs can be a little cold in winter, so the area is best visited in warmer months.
Kransberg is also a wonderful hiking area up to the cliffs and up the kloof. The area onto of the mountain is not owned by the MCSA and therefore access is prohibited. South of the road there is another co-owned property where one can hike, please consult the map.
Kransberg is co-owned with National Parks Board, please be courteous when encountering Park personnel. Please ensure you take your MCSA membership card along.
